ok i start up go for a ride get out of truck strong gas smell, used about a tank since sat nite also when it shiftes into 3rd it bogs a bit and slight spark knock but it was starting good but now have a little probs when starting have not moved timming only got about 150 miles on it so far....obtw 350 60 over mild cam i think 288 but ill get card tomorrow need some pointers please help dont know where to start thanks for any help

Check the top of the motor for fuel also look around the fuel line areas for any leakage if its leaking on the engine you may not know it because of the heat the engine produces boils it off. if its not these things and your using a carbed engine then you should check your carb because its probably dumping gas down the engine at high throttle if your EFI then check for a plugged return line or bad fuel regulator.

If it\'s getting spark knock its not dumping fuel into the intake. Too rich is not what causes knock its too lean. Check your fuel filter and make sure the secondarys are opening under WOT. Get the timing light out just incase. The clamp that holds the distributer down may not have been tight and it may have moved, its been known to happen and the timing jumps.

found one prob was number 6 plug boot was burnt up damn headman headers!!! ok another for yall now runs like a dream for the first 5 cold miles then starts spark knock and not as strong damn this is some stressful crap lol where is my v-6 i think i want it back any help thanks

woah now, no v6\'s allowed, ha ha , ok that sounds like it could have too much advance, cold it will run fine but once the manifold vacume picks up the vacume advance could be increasing advancea degree or two just enough to make it knock, i\'d try retardiing it a couple degrees and see what happens, could also be bad gas
