alternator wiring

i finally got my 87 blazer 2 wheel drive 350 350 turbo fired up seem like it has a battery draw problem the battery goes dead real quick they have got three wires on the alt terminal plus flat plug in wires one black wire with red stripe two small brown wires this was done before me any ideas thanks stansteamer stans3703@aol.com

hard to say with out knowing were the wires go... make sure it has a good battery then make sure no esories are using a constant feed power and if the alternator is charging properly good luck
