check out this link (http://www.slponline.com/view_product.asp?PARTNUMBER=64501T&SHOWIMAGE=On&SHOWEMAIL=Off)

use that with your stock gears, and some 28 spline axels from a newer truck and it\'ll be way cheaper than any other setup you\'ll find

im not sure what spline my axels are could anyone tell me with this info : 93 s10 ext cab 2.8 2wd 5 spd? this seems like a real good deal compared to some of them in summit and jegs.

the zexel unit will hold up fine, but dont expect them to be speedy about the shipment I ordered one and over 2 months later they still hadnt billed me and I never saw it so I canceled my order. as for your axles you more than likely have 26 spline axles but they could be 28 but I doubt it, there wasnt any sharp cut off date when they changed from one to the other but almost all the early model trucks had the 26 spline axles. go on ebay they have good deals on locking carriers. I found a local guy with one of the auburn locking spool that goes for 350+ out of the parts books and I got it for $100 even. if you do have to change axles go to a junk yard to get them, I paid $20 for a set of 28 spline axles once. and I have a set of 28 spline axles in the garage now if your interested, they are also listed in the for sale forum, check it out.

I think even the jtr site says 88 and newer had the stronger 7.625, but who knows.

There was not a sharp cut off date for the use of 26 or 28 spline axles. my 92 had 28\'s ive seen early 80\'s trucks with 28\'s and I have seen early 90\'s trucks with 26\'s you have to check to know for sure. they put both in all year models.
