Well, I got my engine stats the other day. It\'s going to make 240 horse and 330 ft./lbs. of torque. With decent gears and decent traction, what do you think it will run (time and MPH) in the quarter mile?

What elevation? Exactly what gear and tire combo? What tranny and converter? How much does the truck weigh approx?

Mid to high 14\'s would be my guess. That\'s not all that bad and will still blown the doors off a lot of cars out there.

How can you make an estimate without knowing what i asked??

I know of a few cars that only make 250hp at the wheels and run high 12\'s all night long. Thats at 3600ft elevation. And on the same note i know of cars that make 600+ that run mid 10\'s.

Gotta know what combos before you can make an estimate.

And how do you know your going to be making 240HP at the wheels? Or is this just a guess? Mine was dynoed at 247 at the wheels and it runs low 14\'s with 3.42 gears and a 2000 stall convertor. Not the best but it has 60,000 on the motor too.

I meant 240 horse and 330 ft/lbs at the crank. I\'m going to run probably either 3.73\'s or 4.11\'s. I\'ll also be using a th350 trans with a B&M shift kit. What do you think this will run? I\'m going to be using something along the lines of an ET street tire.

Wait, I forget if it was at the crank or at the tailshaft. I\'ll have to double check tomorrow.

Is it stock or what mods does it have? A lot of factory 350\'s were rated at 240hp at the crank, it almost sounds like what you have described there. Any idea of the weight?
