Just picked up a 4.3 s-10 aluminum radiator yesterday, I was looking at the aluminum corvette rad but is smaller than the s-10 one so I figured if they are both aluminum and one row and the s-10 one is bigger, the larger should cool better! I am also getting dual 12\" proform electric fans that flow 2400 cfm. Hope this will cool a 345hp 350.Do you think this combo will do the trick?

Im using a similar combo with mine. 4.3 radiator, and dual 12\" flexolite fans, rated at 2400 cfm also.
I am using an adjustable thermo to turn them on at 175-180, and it works very well. Hottest I\'ve had it with those fans was 195.
Thats with my 355 hp ZZ4.

bigger doens;t always mean better, the corvette rad has more cooling fins therefore has better cooling capabilities, the fin count, the more it can flow, and the better the materials capabilities to dissipate heat the better it will cool, size only works to a point just like tires, sometime big ones will get worse traction than a small one because of weight per square inch, it apply\'s to a lot, but yeah your 4.3 rad should work fine for any of your cooling needs i used one with over 400hp, you should be fine

I used both radiators, 4.3 worked better for me. I have also tried stock 195, 180, and 160 thermostat. 160 Works best for me.

Mine are pullers. I\'ve got a whole theory about pullers and pushers. I\'ll stick with pullers if I have the choice.
3 good points in this thread.
1. The 4.3 will work pretty good for a stock to mild 350
2. The corvette rad cools great because the higher fin count
3. puller fans generally work better then pushers.
See, I post every now and again.

I will be running two 12\" single puller fans, they are not attatched like the flexalite 210\'s.

I used the radiator from a 85 monteCarlo with two 10 inch pusher fans and it runs very good. About 200 in traffic and about 180 on the road.
