I\'m going to be purchasing a new bettery here in the next few weeks when I get my truck out of storage. WOOHOO!!!!

I\'m wondering if anyone is using or has used the Jell Cell before and to what success?

I do drive this truck EVERY day. So I am wondering if they with stand the abuse of every day driving or not?

Any input would be greatly appreicated.

Get yourself a red top optima and you\'ll have no problems at all there sturdy and last a long time infact I used them in an electric car I had built once. and best of all you never have to maintain them!

Its def a good buy and is on my list of things to dop to my new 4x4!

redtop for regular truck use yellow tops are deep cycle duty so you only get hald the CCA of a redtop with a yellowtop and I dont think he runs big winches or huge lights or a huge stereo.

also a deep cycle puts un neccesary starin on your alt and will shorten its life span.

i have never tried any of those batteries but i recomend a good old delco battery i have seen many last 6 years or more in fact this Christmas i replaced the original one in my 97 van with 85,000 miles on it they cost more than most replacement ones but in my book worth it. just my thoughts

Here\'s my input. i have sold parts for a # of years and I have found that most recommend the yellow top optima. The red top is really good also. At Napa Auto Parts they have a battery called an Orbital. Its comperable to the optima and cheaper too. Its black and i think it looks better. The orbital will be the one I purchase, mainly because of the price, and it will be easier to warranty if need be. Which rarely happens.

hey, i use to work at csk auto, they told me that the jell cell batteries, even if you loose a cell the battery will still function, ofcourse not as well, but till you get a new one.. I am going to put in 2 jells, i have 6 daylighters, 2 jumbo hella\'s a 8000 lb winch and a 3500 lb winch as well as dvd and large stereo.

So i hope it all holds up..

I have the NAPA orbital and it has been in my truck for over a year with no trouble or any problem. It also costs less then the yellow top.
