Anyone have specs on the ZQ8 suspension on the newer model s10\'s... I have heard they sit lower than a regular s10 suspensioin. I am not sure though anyone know how much the sit lower than stock?

2\" lower then stock rear 21/2\" front larger sway bars for better cornering they also mount both shocks facing the back of the trucks instead of stradling the rear axle.
Why do you want to know bohn? looking for a ZQ8 frame? I have one for sale on this board if anyones interested let me know.

Does the ZQ8 suspension have stiffer, softer, or the same springs front and rear as compared to a stocker?

it has stiffer springs front for cornering and a softer set in the back to deal with your rear end sliding the shocks are mounted to minimize wheel hop and the sway bar in the back helps you from wrapping your leafs around the axle... its a nice setup and works.
as for the frame Im selling it wheels and all for 1500$ considering I dumped 2000$ into the 4 speed on it and 800$ into new tires I dont think Im asking a lot lol.
sorry bohn first question was for you the rest were for colby http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif
English isn\'t my first language lol so I still make booboos in it =)
zq8\'s also have a horizontal shock absorber on the rear axle to prevent axle hop, and a \"tighter\" steering gear 2 3/4 lock to lock

They removed the horizontal shock absorbers on the 2000 and up trucks because it caused some kind of wear problem. they fixed this by making the leaf spring different.
Will the softer ZQ8 leaf springs fit on the older chassis? Are they the same length?

My 1997 ss did not have a horizontal shock absorber. I still have the window sticker from the dealer and it reads zq8 suspension. Where did they mount it?
