I have a \'85 s-10 that just has a stock 2.8 V6 and i was looking at trying a new intake manifold, new carb, and a cam. i was wondering if anyone knew if that helps the 2.8\'s very much or if anyone had any tips or idea\'s that help a 2.8.

i knew a guy once that put a hipo cam in his 2.8 it helped some .the biggest gaine i have experienced out of a 2.8 is runing true duals.the truck already had not cat and staight pipe we ran true duals manifolds back with cheap turbos the truck would acually take off at a light the y-pipe was the big restiction good luck just don\'t spend more than a v-8 swap that were the power is at

so if i was to put on true dual exhaust it would help? do you think that putting that intake manifold would help and then putting a 4barrel carb would help?
If you\'re not looking to do a V8 swap, see www.mys10.com for tech info on the 2.8, when the 2.8 dies, we\'ll still be here for you.

why would anyone waste their time on a 2.8? my freind has a dakota with the 3.9 in it and he thinks it\'s the fastest thing in the world... by the time i\'m done the 1/4 with my s-10 he\'s hardly at the 1/8 mile... v6\'s suck... save a grand and do the v8 conversion... it shouldn;t ebven cost you that much if you get parts cheap enough... 305\'s are cheap and th350\'s are cheap
