i was told to use the stock water pump off 4.3 as i used the serp belt setup my question is does anyone know the flow rate on this pump and did i have to use it or can i use one off a 350 with serp belt set up if the 350 pump flows more and do they make a high flow in rev rotation thanks

i would think you could use one from a late model v8 that uses a serpentine system im guessing you are using the stock 4.3 brackets depending on the year or 4.3 they should be the same as the 350

If you want a higher flow pump, Stewart and Edelbrock make a reverse rotation sbc high volume pump. Edelbrock make only aluminum for around $150. Stewart makes a number of cast iron and aluminum pumps starting around $75. Both have namesake web sites.
