Hey, finally got the blazer to the track for the first time. Ran a dissappointing 13.9, but I spun almost through first gear. I cant seem to get it to hook up at all. 60 foot was at 2.2 seconds.I have 245 50 16\'s, nothing special for tires and no traction bar of sorts. Now Im looking into trying to hook up while being cheap about it. Any ideas?

drag radials and some slapper bars are probaly the cheapest way to go.

Got Posi???
I was running 275/50/15\'s when I made my only runs, and mine were similar in my blazer. 2.2 60 fts, and 14.03 1/4
I agre with the drag radials and slapper bars. I haven\'t noticed too much traciton gains with the bars, but theres less wheel hope with posi.
You could also run with a full tank of gas, more weight on the rear end. Relocate some stuff in the engine compartment. Try pulling the end licks of your sway bar off before you go to the track. That will also aid in transfer. Blazers hook very well compared to trucks, little bit of tuning you\'ll be at least in the 1.8 range

Looking for a set of drag radials now, and also looking at the Powertrax locker setup. Was wondering what the benefits of Competition Engineering\'s Slide-a-Links are compared to standard slapper bars. Noticable benefit hooking up? Worth the money?

Posi and some good tires will make a good difference.
I hear the slide a link is good stuff. But, they hang down pretty good. Not too cheap either. I\'d spend the money on good tires and posi before that.
Besides, slapper bars are like $30.
