AT THE TIME WHEN I WAS WIRING MY S10 NO FORUM WOULD ASSIST OR EVEN RESPOND TO MY QUESTIONS. OF COURSE I DIDN\'T KNOW OF THIS SITE! PAINLESS OR EZ WIRING SAID THEY DIDN\'T MAKE A KIT FOR A 2000 S10 GOING CARBED. ANYWAY EVERYTHING WORKS FINE IF I WANT TO JUST DRIVE DURING THE DAY!! HERE\'S THE PROBLEM: IF I PUT THE RELAY INTO IT\'S PLACE IN THE FUSE BOX WITH OUT THE SWITCH AND THE KEY IN THE ON POSITION THE HEAD LIGHTS WON\'T GO ON. WHEN I DO GET THEM TO GO ON WHEN I TURN THEM OFF THEY STAY OFF WHEN I GO TO TURN THEM BACK ON. THE BRAKE LIGHTS WORK FINE, DIRECTIONALS WORK FINE, PARKING LIGHTS DO NOT WORK PERIOD. ALL FUSES HAVE BEEN CHECKED, AND ARE GOOD. I READ THE VERY HELPFUL HANES BOOK WHICH TOLD ME TO GO TO THE DEALER. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_mad.gif

first take your caps key off its consider rude as in your yelling. second it sounds like you have a ground problem there are a few ground wires that go from the cab to the fusebox and then to the engine harness you should try adn find these grounds and hook them up if youbve done that already it sounds like your having issues with your BCM just do what I did remove the black plastic in the center under the dash theres a black square box under the dash try unhooking it if your light work dine thats your problem. if your running your stock guages you need this box but if your running aftermarkets throw the damn thing out the window its got to be one of the most useless editions GM has ever made to a wire harness. if you need the BCM and its the problem let me know and I\'ll forward a wire diagram and show you which wires to cut.

ICEQUEEN, THANKS FOR RESPONDING...and thanks for the tips. if you wouldn\'t mind sending that diagram it would be greatly appriciated. i took down one of the boxes which knocked out all electric to include ignition. when i put it back up i took down the other one and now the starter won\'t go. i already have a lot of wires going straight into the interior fuse box, i.e. starter, tac, gauges. so i think i\'ll either run the lights to a toggle or check out your diagram if you don\'t mind.
