Hey Ice queen or anybody!!!! need ur help

ok so i hooked the white wire from my tach to the white wire to the light bulb on the passenger side by the feet. it didn\'t work. so i was like duh u have to commect the white AND orange wire in with the white wire from the tach. blam hook up battery and the light in the tach is on????????? thats weird so i turn the head lights on and off real quick then turn the knob to the left all the way snap blew a fuse. tired again blew another.. any suggestions?? should i just hook the white wire from the tach to the orange wire from the light bulb?? or will that not work. BTW the fuse is a 20amp if that helps and the tach would stay on even when the ignition and lights were off. i\'m lost. little help??? http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_mad.gif

is it a factory tach or is it a aftermarket one ?

what does it say in the instructions on where to hook the white and orange wires too ?? sounds like ur blowing a fuse cuz if ya hooking it up to the lights down by ur feet it , changes from + to _ and that could be why. anywas. hook it up to an ignition wire on ur fuse panel use a test light to find a proper place too hook it up. just my thought.

It should all be inthe directions though
