get rid of the flex fan, get a steel clutch fan, and if ya cant fit the clutch, then dont put the clutch on! get the race fan that pulls the most air, jegs and summit have them, then make sure you have a 180* thermostat, it will keep the water in the rad longer and cool it better than a 160*, i have the 160* and i am changing back to the 180* it stayed cooler with 180..... also if you dont have a shroud, make one or use one and make it fit, they make the fan work the way its supposed to!

In my opinion look at the way your rads mounted also look at how it gets its air flow I try and do some metal work to direct air towards the rad opening so that you get more cooling power also try running the tarus aswell and you should be fine also follow 350\'s advice on thermostats but you dont want to run a full time fan even clutch fans are a pain they can actualy cause more overheating in traffic the electrics should take care of this if the problem persist Id suggest moving to a larger rad.

well i would say that the engine fan isnt the best, but if he was gonna keep it, i would get rid of the flex fan, they really dont cool very well and there is always the chance of it comming appart..... i am doing research on electrics right now, and i am thinking of getting two 14\" fans and making a shroud out of aluminum..... i really dont like the engine driven fans, but if ya want to save some $$$ get the steel fan

I suggest you get the JTR book. The chapter on cooling is over 30 pages, and shows how to make the V8 swap run cool, even with air conditioning.

If a motor is getting hot, you really don\'t want to make the water stay in the radiator longer. It may sound good, but by making the water stay in the radiator longer you\'re also making it stay in the engine longer. This can cause hot spots in the engine which will eventually lead to engine damage. Chevy High Performance did a special article on this.
