I was wondering if anyone has broken a upper control arm mount right off the frame?

What? What did you break? The peice that runs through the upper control arm? The peice thats welded to the frame?
Im willing to bet you just broke off the bolt/stud that goes through the frame, and hold the control arm on.
Chances are, it was rusted, or worn. Should have been seen when you dropped your truck, or noticed when it was aligned.
Factory parts are more than strong enough. As long as they aren\'t missused, or overabused. I am replacing all of my steering suspension in a week or so. Just replaced my steering box, and some of it was worn. So, Im just redoing all of it. Same with my ball joints. Im using all MOOG heavy duty parts. But, everytihing is original. Replaced my bushings with poly while my arms were off too.
Im hoping to see a noticeable difference with the bushings and the new parts, especially the quick ratio steering box.

Well I took the driver side all apart and saw that the mounting came right off the frame. there wasen\'t that much rust but it still could have been weak.
but let me know how your front suspension turns out.

I\'m still a little unclear. What exactly did you break?
thats totally nuts. when i tor my front end apart i didint like the factory welds and i ground and re welded them all buy i did not think that they would break.(i was paranoid but now im glad i spent the time.)
