I got a 1985 Blazer had a 2.8 now I got a 5.0 with the Serpentine set up off a 1989 chevy truck. The vehicle charge good with no accessories on but when I turn on the head lights and the A/C or heat together it starts to discharge. I have replace the alternator. Please help
Check your battery and all cables, if it was me I would replace the battery and the ground cable for sure.

I would agree with Mike. Check your grounds,this is a very common problem.

Did you make sure to hook up your altenator right? if you dont the stator will charge the battery but wont cvhange to the demands of the vehicle this can also be caused by a dead battery warning light. how many prongs on the plug that goes into the side of the alt?
It doesnt sound like the alternater is performing properly, you can have a voltage of 14.5 or so but no amperage and Iam geussing thats what you have, I think you have all the right avenues to check out from the other guys that have posted and if those ideas dont help try full fielding the alternater with accessories on , if its ok. get the alt checked out( regulator, ect )

I two prongs on the plug that goes into the side of the alt but alt has four.

yeah check for loose wires to and from both the battery and alternator, thats a common problem and ive done it a couple times myself
