pipe size

What is everyone running for exhaust pipe size? I have the hedman shorties and the collecters are 2 inch and i wanted to run 2 1/2 inch. I\'m not sure if i can just get new collecters or not any help would be appreciated, thanks.

i bought some hooker 2.5 collectors and made a custom 2.5 Y-pipe to a single 3\" to a 40 series flowmaster muffler. theres pics of it in the gallary.

2.5\'s should bolt up to your 2\" collectors just make sure toi use new seals and tighten her down good

i think mine is 2 & quarter or maybe 2.5 not sure but its duel exhaust all they way out back.

very interesting topic,i just changed the look of my ex.system...i use the heddman shorties 2-1/2\" y-pipe that crosses under the x-member to a 3\" pipe 3\"40 series flomaster and the recommended 12\"turndown(from flomaster)sounded sweet,well i changed the tailpipe to a 2-1/2 exiting under the bumper way quieter sounds cleaner and most of all the POWER INCREASE was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!true blazers are heavy but i noticed big power gains and the 96 stang that would barely nose me out at the end of the 1/4 now looses by 3-4 cars.now i will feel much better when i remove the tbi and install the superram more ponies!!!!!!!!hekk i may run a 13 soon http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

sounds great and nice kill rudedogg, how did you run the 2 1/2 on the shorties? im not sure how i could get it to work without buying new collecters and im not sure where to get them

well i work part time in a muffler shop and you can purchase the collectors from pep boys.nice exhaust you have but would not live under my lil hoe,3\"springs and 2\" spindles....the main reason why i posted my 2 cents worth is to show more power can be made by paying close attention to your ex.system................

did anybody even look at my exhaust? Its tucked up so far you can\'t even see it hang down. Its a full 2.5 Y-pipe to a single 3\".
