The 3.08 will probably hurt you. You will need to get wider stickier tires for the track.

i agree if you want faster track time not lower rpms then go for better tires size isn\'t everything they need to be soft try some of the dot street slicks

OK, right off im going to appologize, I dont have a s10 but i think its close enough. So, if you want to get off the line faster you need to get lower gears, but if you drive your truck often or every day(like I do) you would prolly want to stay with the 3.42. Also how wide are your rims?, If there not very wide you may need to get some cheap wide wheels and get slicks or just wider tires to run on the track. Well thats just my $.02 .

make your self a custom \"spare tire\" a little extra weight never hurt be sure and make a better mounting braket for your \"spare tire\"

water,sand,ect.

you may also want to try getting a posi diff or put in a mini spool if you have the money then go for a detroit locker this gives you greater turning ability if you drive your truck on the street alot or if you dont drive it much then you could go with a full spool

was there a noticable difference with the traction bars? i was looking into a set myself, but im not sure if i want the 40 dollar lakewood universals, or if i want to spend 300 on the made to fit adjustables. oh, the 308 gears might hurt your 60 foot, but you should more than make that up on the top end.
