Hey everyone, just registered. would like to know who has a V8 in a 94+ S10? I have a 95 & have been thinking about doing the swap!!

Well for starters, where can I get some motor mounts? I know of a guy who can fabricate some for me! and the 5speed I have in my truck (NV3500) now, bolt\'s up to an eight?



and of course, what type of eight should i put?

305, 350........

Since you claim to have the NV 5 speed, I\'d assume you have a 4.3 in there now. It will bolt up fine. It is just about as strong as most factory V8 transmissions. I used the Stealth conversions motor mounts. Pretty happy with them. Unless your building your own motor, I\'d stick with a good old 350. Most factory 305\'s didn\'t have much more hp than the newer vortec 4.3, and they weight a whole lot more.
