anyone have an idea as to how much of a drop it would be if i were to remove a leaf from the rear springs. i don\'t want it to be a frame scraper or anything like that. just to give it a little better stance is what i am looking for

Every truck is different depending on age and how abused it was being used as a truck when bought.
In 82 the original owner bought mine and put an extra leaf in and put on a latter rack and was used for siding and door comp.
Ive taken out the one they put in it was easy to identify it was almost twice as thick as the rest.
I now have the main leaf, second one with the spring clamps and the original helper to keep the other two straight just incase a load is added to the box ( I don\'t want them to reverse )
This also cured my wheel hop when the traction bars were added the axle wraps just enough to put its own preasure to the pavement.
It will likely be trial and error you will have to experiment.

i have 2\'\' blocks under it now. was thinking of removing them and removing a leaf to drop it that way. seems to me it would be a stronger set-up that way. no broken pins or anything like that on the blocks.

You will get more axle wrap and wheel hop when you remove a spring. If you are concerned about blocks breaking then get a new set of drop leaf springs.

my truck had helper spring. so the other day i got around to taking out the helper springs and the middle leaf out of the pack. i took the drivers side apart and realized that the bottom leaf was broken right in half. of course that was the one with the clamps. my new plan is to keep the main spring and use the second leaf in the pack with new clamps. i am using 3\" blocks too. i also plan on getting a set of traction bars.
I have a question. I was wondering how the Guys on the video got there trucks to hookup? The trucks dont even look tubbed. s10shortbox@hotmail.com
