Weight of fuel

I am looking to change my s-10 20 gallon fuel tank to the blazer 20 gallon fuel tank and I am wondering if anyone else has done it with a shot box s-10. I also would like to know how much that tank would weigh full of gas, to see how much added weight would be over the rear wheels for traction.

Well I\'m not sure about gas but I believe water weighs something like 8 1/2 pounds per gallon, plus the weight of the tank of course

Gas is about 5.6lbs to 6.1lbs per gallon

that is a very good idea for a daily driven truck, I haven\'t thought of it.I\'ll keep that in mind for my next toy.
