I have just purchased an LT-1 crate motor(93-96) corvette.I plan on replacing the stock 350 (wiped lobe on cam). Iwould like to run the V belt pulleys(power steering and a/c. What kind of problems am I looking at? Intake water pump(elec or manual)Can I use an old style water pump?

No a old water pump won\'t work the LT1 has a reverse flow cooling system.

I thought the only difference was the serpentine belt and reverse rotation pump. Please correct me if I\'m wrong.

the mounting area (look at the gaskets)is really different between the two waterpumps plus the whole flow rotation thing i\'d rec using the surptine belt easier anyway

In the LT1 the coolant flows through the heads first so you need the accesories and water pump from a Camaro or Corvette w/ a LT1. That will make it the easiest.

Thats not even a question with the LT1 motors, the water pump is cam driven. No pulley on it. You will need to find some LT1 accessories with it. Unless you can find someone that makes an aftermarket system for it.
