get a aftermarket trans cooler and mount it infront of the radiator its own van would be cool \"lol\" but not nessasary in a stock radiator trans cooler it is mounted just in the one side tank so airflow doesnt really hit it any way

no room in front of the radiator, I have a HUGE radiator going in and I have a a/c condenser up there to. so it will have to go somewhere else.
i\'ve seen very small trans coolers up underneath, anywhere it can get airflow will work

Run the biggest you can find. Tranny will run and last better the cooler it is.
Mount it between the frame rails, just behind the bumper and in front of the radiator support. I\'ve seen a lot of guys mount intercoolers there. You could even fab up some type of air intake from sheet metal very easily if you wanted to to make sure you get max air flow to it.
i would also get a temp guage for your transmission fluid, running a setup like that i would want to know my tempature for sure.

I agree on the temp thing but autometer dosent make a trans temp gauge yet in the carbon fiber series that I have.

I did the same thing ZZBlazer suggested with the airscoop (on a 55 Chevy PU.) I mounted the scoop just under the bumper....it worked great and when people spotted it they asked if it was ram air.

Use a water temp guage if they dont make a trans temp yet just make sure you know the difference between the two guages. Both will work and the only real difference is that one has atrans symbol on it and the other has a water symbol on it.
as for an external cooler just be careful if you live in really cold climates because the trans fluid will be like molases and wont have the radiator to help warm it up in the cold thats if you even use the truck in the cold http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif

Autometer Carbon Fiber series, model # 4851 2 5/8\" mechanical tranny temp guage
#4757 Electric 2 1/16\" tranny temp guage
Hope this helps
