Anybody running a high volume melling oil pump? If so what is the pressure at when hot at idle?

i use a stock pump...unless you have a 7-8qt pan or lager drain back return holes you are asking for problems...a high volume pump will suck the pan dry if the oil cant get back to the pan fast enough or if the pan is stock...i have seen this happen many times...a stock pump is more than a enough even for a powerful motor.. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif maybe try a high presure pump..there is a differnce

ive got a high volume pump with a factory oil pan, and windage tray. Idles with about 15-20pounds never goes above 70pounds and i shift at 7500. Rule of thumb is 10 pounds for every 1,000 RPM.

I prefer a minimum of 25 @ idle. I just dont like seeing one that is dropping below that.
