I ran with a set of 26x8.5 slicks tonight. Got a 13.5 with no traction still so im happy, but got a question. On the high end the slicks got very squirley, kinda like I was hydroplaning or something. Pretty scary. Are they just out of balance? Whats the deal, I didnt like it at all.

BTW... next up is removing sway bar, air jacker shocks and trac bar. Hoping for 12\'s.

It\'s called no sidewalls. The first time I ran a pair of slicks I had the same feeling. Got my attention! Once I realized what it was i comfortable with the feeling and loved it.

Maybe the slicks need to be balanced? I dont think they are.

Just mt 2cents worth, when Iwas runnin wrinkle wall slicks, no matter how much air I added , in second gear I was all over the track, so I went to a pair of circle track tires. And the results were harder launchs and better control with better E.Ts. But I also was racin a Blazer, little more weight. I used traction bars also.. Like I said, my 2 cents. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_cool.gif Vern.

My truck goes squirly when I hit second gear aswell with 265 50 15 Bfg Radia T/A\'s so I think all tires do it with S-10\'s.
