Ran at the track again. Doing better this time, got rid of the ballast I THOUGHT I needed and threw out the sway bar. I ran a 13.1@103 with a 1.8 60\'. Not too bad, still need those air shocks and traction bars. And thats on an open dif. too!

damn good time for a one wheeler. I just installed the lakewood street strip bars tonight and WOW do they actually work. It still spins like a * but pulls hard and goes in a straight line this time and it shifts harder too. Definately try them..well worth the $100.

actually i think the shocks would help i read it in a magazine. you adjust the shock so it makes the right tire plant for more traction

ok believe a mag the only thing its gonna do is stop the front from transfering the weight to out back

i thought it to be kind of logical because if instead of transfering the weight equally on left and right rear tires it transfers it all to the right rear it would increase traction thats what i think it would do. but i havn\'t raced a track multiple times so thats just my theory

Im bottoming out really bad with wheel hop. You think the traction bars would prevent the bottoming out when it stops the wheel hop? What is everyone using for shocks?

I put on a set of cheapy slapper bars, and it cured mine.

Ive been told that the S10 specific ones (that have build in shock mount and replace the pads under the leaf) work a bit better. But the universals worked for you? Theyre only 30 bucks.

I tried them with my dropped leafs, and they didn\'t work for me. My leafs were too flat, and I coulnd\'t get the snubber on. I didn\'t feel like \"modifying\" a $100 pair of traction bars.
My slapper bars worked good for me. Bolted right up, had no adjustments. Feels much tighter on launches, doesn\'t bottom out. Im getting some wheel hop now, but now I have a mini spool in the rear end. The bars helped some, but didn\'t cure it. I havne\'t been able to get to the track, so I can\'t tell you if they helped out on my 60 ft any.

Hmm... Gives me a little something to think about. Didnt consider that my leafs may be to flat, I see what youre saying. Thanks!

Hey ZZ4
Hows your suspension set up? Your truck\'s stance is real nice and Im assuming it\'s not adjustable (air, hydros, etc.)
I need to re-do my suspension (I bought it dropped and I\'m pretty sure it\'s stuff like cut springs, rigged lowering blocks ...) and want some nice stuff.

jus save up your money and put a 4link with a posi in it... with some coil over shocks...

For now I\'d rather break the bank in other areas.

Belltech stuff all the way around. I\'ve cheaped out before, and I wont\' use anything else now for static drops.
Spindles and springs up front (5\") , dropped leafs(3.5-4\") out back. I just added a 1\" block to the rear end.(not in the pictures) It still needed to come down a little bit. The rake was too much for the tire sizes Im running.
