View Full Version : Switching from electric to mechanical Pump?

What do most of you guys do when you do a v8 swap and run a mechanical fuel pump?

Do you just leave the old pump in the tank....Help!

Yeah it\'ll suck it right through your electric pump.

Do you leave the electric pump hooked up? Do you just pull the fuelpump fuse or what?

just unhook it and use the mecanical hooked to the original lines, and leave it in the tank. the electric pumps normally go because no body hooks up the return line and they burn up.
