Just go with teh stock one. if ya running a carb its not gonna make a difference.

the stock pumps need a return line or they will burn out like mine did. thats why i want an aftermarket one. otherwise i wouldn\'t waste my money. any why wouldnt more psi and gph make a difference on a carb?

do the newer s series have the 3 lines in the crossmember like the 1st generation? If it does, you will have a return line there. If you are using a carb, why not go with a stock mechanical pump? Even with a stock mechanical pump i still have to use a pressure regulator for the edelbrock 600 cfm.So, if you bought a aftermarket pump, chances are that you will have to buy a regulator anyway.Life time mechanical pump was $10.00, regulator 19.99.I really dont know much about your setup, but i hope this might help you.

i actually have a regulator because i couldn\'t use the stock fuel pump without it. i remembered i have a mechanical pump layin around at my shop off my 350 so i think i might just use that and buy some fuel line and run it to the pump. ur pump was 10 bucks? where did u buy it from? one thing that came to my mind is clearance with the mechanical pump and the frame...thanks for the help
