can you use the smallblock conversion mounts with the big block ? I am seriously thinking of swaping to a BB oh and the stock ex manifolds fit?

I apologize if this has been covered, smack me around as a newbie if you wish. Has anyone made themselves some headers for this swap? I noticed one vote for 76-78 caprice police package manifolds? Any other good suggestions?

Just wanted to say, Sorry!, I thought that I had found a 427 to swap out with my 350. turns out that it\'s a 396. I was lookin forward to the swap and ta post pics as I went. So, to those of you who thought I was doin the swap, I\'m sorry, but not until I find another block.My454 and Wicked.

the 396 to 427 is just a 454 crank and a 40 over bore i think. if i remember right.

a true 427 is geting rare....mine isa cross breed...meaning i made it....i used a 454 block 4.250 bore...and used a 396 crank..3.76 stroke...that makes a 427...

I have a blown big block s-10 in the works, actually needs the motor assembled and to be painted(never enough hours in the day). I built wheel well headers for mine. I\'m not sure how to post pictures. some one please help SSB

Headers seems to be the biggest problem, ...mine are about needing replaced and unless you go to Stahl for $1200 it\'s hard to find them for BBC S-10 (402, 10.5 comp ratio, .750 lift, strip dominator intake, 850 cfm Holley, otherwise stock with oval port heads). Any good contacts for good and REASONABLE header builders in off-season, let me know. Can\'t speak about mounts as previous owner installed all major components...but mine flies straight...as in the recent ad with John Force yelling advice...\"DON\'T TURN.\"

I uploaded pictures of my wheel well headers that I built. They look like a bag of snakes because they are all the equal length. If I remember i have under $400 in building these(and many hours but that is free) I wish my real motor was finshed ,I would love to take this for a spin. I\'ve a sh$% load of small blocks but this will be the first bb s-10 I built. SSB

Taken from Stahl website:

\"Wheel offset to the outside will increase header/tire clearance.\"

Guess this means no turning as mentioned above, eh?

Pictures of my wheel well headers are finally in the gallery if anyone is interested. SSB
