Here is what I have been thinking about on my carb, holley. How can you tell when and if the secondarys are opening? I remember in my van, which had a 305 and a 4brl carb, you noticed when the secondarys opened up. It seems to me mine is not, I say that because I can not tell any difference or notice any change from any throttle position at any speed, you know. when I stomp on it! I need a way to test to make sure they are opening and if so opening at the right time. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif

Im guessing its vaccum secondaries, since you should know mechanical will open as soon as you put the pedal all the way down. You can put a small paperclip on the bottom of the vaccum diaphram stud. Go drive. If it moves, then you know it is opening. If you feel is not opening quick enough, get a secondary spring kit from Holley. Its like $10-15. Swap out to lighter springs still it starts to bog from opening too early.
