4x4 Shifter Assembly

How is the 4x4 lever supposed to attach to a 700R4 tranny? The lever mounts to my 5 speed but it doesn\'t look like I can mount it in the same way to the 700r4. Are there brackets for this or do I have to switch to a push button four wheel drive?

i had one it had a spring loaded type bolt that held it on i wish i had pics for ya if you dont get any help check local junkyards they might have one sitting out you could look at
