View Full Version : lt1 needs help please read if you know alot on these motors

ok i am gonna give you a lot of information here on whats going on . first off my problem is then i get on it hard it sputters and cuts out , when i have it ideling it sounds great and if i just try to drive around very normal it runs fine just cant get into it. now for what i have it is a 1995 corvette lt1 in a 99 s10. whats been replaced trying to fix the problem so far. optispark , cap , rotor , new wires and plugs when i put the motor in the truck , ac delco plugs and msd wires is what they were , i have new knock sensor , new fuel pump i have a aeromotive tusnami pump rail mount , new fuel pressure regulator , i also have a aeromotive adjustible one thats not on yet , lt4 knock module , new maf sensor , my vacume is 15 to 17 hg at idel and my fuel pressure is 36 psi with the line on and 42 with it of and my finger over the vacume on the regulator now here are my data master readings



this was a full throttle run with it cutting out for a second i took the highest rpm reading and pulled the info for you

this was running in closed loop when this test was ran i dont know much about what these readings mean other than the 02\'s the highest i have ever gotten the tps volts was 4.02 on another run is this low? i am open to sugestions everything is new and this is getting frustrating please help

might be a stupid question but is it just cutting out at this high of rpm? im not sure what the rpm limiter is on those engines but you might be hitting it.ill do some more checking for ya

fuel pressure should be 41-47 psi with the vacuum hooked up at an idle so yours is alittle low

Lt1 reuire 42-47PSI to run correcftly get a 96 chev vortec 5.7L c1500 2WD fuel pump from the dealership it doesn\'t come on a sending unit it sold by itself its capable of putting out 78PSI which your engine will love your for and wont excveed the specs on the regulator.



Once you change the pump unhook the battery wait 5 minutes then hook it back up and get the computer to relearn the mixtures settings and you should be set.
