how long do u think a stock 5 speed will last with a crate 350 and is there any other manual i could use that would work better and what bellhousing would i use with the stock 5 speed? thanks joe

Which stock 5 speed? A s-series 5 speed? 2.8 or 4.3? F-body?? Need some more info

Theres a hand full of machining mods that have to be done to it. It\'s not as simple as bolting it in. It won\'t last long either, especially if your hard. And, Im guessing since your using a crate motor, you\'re probably pushing at least 300 hp.

yea i guess ill just buy a th350 trans out of summit for $500 do u no what size tailshaft i should get so i dont have to get my driveshaft cut? thanks joe

With most you can use the 9\" tailshaft, and use your stock driveshaft.
