View Full Version : Need more tools
Well tonight i decided to clean out my tool box and redo the drawers on it. I relized i have spent alot on tools. Since I buy from Snapon, Mac Tools, and Matco. I have spent around $11,000 on my tools, and i still need more. The bad thing is buying from these companys cost a arm and a leg, and at least they are good tools. Plus i took pics of almost all of my tools and my box. At least i have the tools i need to work on my trucks and where i work at. I bet all of you guys and (Icequeen) have spent allot on your tools, and still don\'t have what you all want.

lol, I only buy brand name for the more expensive tools and I have a mac box in the back but the sockets and misc tools I just buy from a local tool store why pay extra for sockets when you dont need too for example so Ive spent 8K Canadian on tools and have everything under the sun. including 4\" sockets lol I have a friend with an 18 wheeler I help him repair it thats why the extreme size. Its nice to have the right tools and I choose not to make myself suffer just to have all brand name crap. plus the hardware store has a lifetime warranty on all the tools if I break em they replace em!

I don\'t think we can ever have all the tools to get things done!! with all new vehicles changing. its almost impossible to have all! http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_eek.gif
I agree. My tool box isn\'t full yet but by the end of this year it will be most likely or if i steal some of my dads tools since he is retired now. He has some tools i still need to get but at least i have a key to his tool box. Even so i go to college for Computer programing and networking, but at least i will have the tools to work on my trucks. Maybe in the future i will go to college for Automotive as a back up plan.
I wish I could rewrite what i just said. I wish this was set up like Microsoft Word do you think you can do it Mike? God i hate writing. Never been my strong point.

There is an edit button under your post silly.
There isn\'t a lot of network or programming jobs in my area Id start talking to some of the companies in your area to make sure one of them will be willing or maybe even hire you so you have some security if none show interest now they wont show interest when you finish either unfortunatly.
The automotive industry is a little easier to get into but wont pay as much in the end do what you love to do.

I have collected many differnt brand name tools over the years, most of them are craftsman. I have some snap-on and matco, but there actually to hard to get replaced, with the craftsman i just drive to sears and there all new again. The nice part is what ever i need either my brother or my friends have, either that or i borrow it form work. So i\'ll always have the right tool for the job.
The hard part is trying to find what i need..i seem to misplace everything..lol. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif
