I have an 82 s-10 and the doors are hard to close. guy at an autobody shop said it might be the bushings. is that true?? thanx for the help.

you\'ll see where the pins go through, the bushings around them wear out. mine are gone too but i havent replaced them yet. my 97 s10 is already doing it. i also heard they can be kind of fun to replace

The bushings will wear out over time. When you open the door and it falls alittle then it\'s probaly time to change the bushings. They can be picked up at a local auto parts store. Beware though that if its the hinges themselves, then new ones need to be welded on.

I need to change mine too, but it\'s just one of those things that gets put on the back burner when your buying stuff like Nitrous and Stroker Kits etc. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif
