I cant keep my header gasket on for anything, keeps blowing out. What are some tricks that you guys use? What kinds do you like, cardboard, the black ones, coppers? I think Im gonna try a copper gasket and see if it helps any. This is driving me crazy... I go through more headergaskets than gas right now.

Go with the copper or the aluminum ones.

what i do is use the copper silicone and coat both sides of the gaskets and put them and never had a leak yet

i always found that if you use the stock steel manifold gaskets and coat them with the copper silicone, they last for along time. I have had the same ones in for the last year and they work great. I tried the soft aluminum ones and couldn\'t get them to seal.

I had a problem with the paper header gaskets...if they were cold they would blow. I bet I changed them once a month for a while...then I installed factory exhaust manifold gaskets and no more leaks...for like 2 years...
