Well I have asked this ? elsewhere before but seems nobody wants to answer me so a I\"ll try this site out. I have a 89 s-15 gmc extended cab 6\' box and am looking to get rid of the 2 piece shaft. Does anyone out there make such a shaft for my truck? And what are the pro\'s and con\'s of this switch? The truck has 2\" drop spindles and 3\" angled blocks in the rear and I was told if I do this I will need to have the pinion angle rechecked but that is the least of my concernes for now I just want to rid this piece o\' crap shaft and bearing assembly.
Thanx for the info,Rob http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

If you want a one piece make sure you are not going to have problems with it being low in the center.
Take your shaft into a drive line place (prbably a 4X4 shop ) they will use both ends of your shaft and make you a new one, they may want to know the length you require from weld to weld.

What I mean is with the 2 pc the drive shaft goes straight back from the tranny to hanger bearing than down to the axle.
1 pc will go from tranny down to axle and will hang lower than the 2pc .
Its something to look at and consider ,you may not have a problem at all.
