Want a 1 piece driveshaft for my 89 s-15 extended cab. Truck is drop spindled (2\") front and 3\" blocks slanted in the rear. Do they make such an animal?

What trans are you running? I\'m looking at doing the same on my ext cab. From what I understand you can get a 1 piece lengthend and that will work. Hopefully I will have my truck together enough in a week or two and I\'ll try and let ya know. And please all of you other guys out there give us some info....cause I\'m not 100% sure on if it can be done either.

I\'d get one that too long, and have it shortened to your specs, vs. having your stocker lengthened.

depending on what trans you are running and what year rear end you have you might have to get one end changed to get the right splines on it.

I was thinking about the angle of the drive shaft coming off of the trans....might it be to steep? Just another thought

Ok so you guys say get a longer one and get it shortend. Where would one find a longer 1 piece drive shaft that is longer? They made it two piece because it is such a long span. So I\'m just wondering where we should find this long 1piece drive shaft?

What I\'m thinking of doin is running the 700r4 trans with a longer tailshaft so that way I may not have to get it lenghtend. Just another thought. I worry that maybe if the drive shaft is so long it would need to be supported in the center so it doesn\'t wobble.

I haven\'t noticed any slop outa my drive shaft. The main reason I\'m looking at going to a 1 piece is so I can run a saftey loop. With a two piece drive shaft you have a lot more places for it to brake at

I would Highly recommend checking out http://www.dennysdriveshaft.com They custom make aluminum and steel driveshafts for your custom application at a reasonable price.
