I am ready to buy a set of aluminum cylinder heads for my s10. My question is will I have any advantage with spark plug wire clearance with angle plug heads. My truck has homemade mounts and is set forward about 1 1/4 inches for Hei;I am looking at the edelbrock performer RPM heads and they have the option of straight or angle plug heads. Any reply as always is greatly appreciated.

Usually, header clearance is better with straight plug heads. There may be two more horsepower in angle plugs. Clearance often wins over that last little bit of power. What exhaust are you running?

i tried to use angle plug heads with hedman headers. i couldnt get a wrench or a plug boot on a plug. the headers are directly in line with the angle plug\'s hole. straight plugs only, unless u use shorty header plugs, but u still will have trouble installing the boots
