I DROVE IT!

Last night i broke in my camshaft. It was the longest 20 minutes of my life. Then after I checked everything out i decided to take it for a spin around the block.



I took my friend who had helped me alot with the swap along with me and my other friend stayed back at my house.



\"HOLY CRAP THIS THING IS FAST!\" i yelled out. Ive never had so much fun in my life.



I squacked the tires. The speedo isnt hooked up but we were doing over 100 very quickly. I shifted at 5400 every time, and it broke loose and threw my head back.



When we got back my friend said he could hear the truck all the way around, which is like 5 miles. I guess open headers are pretty loud or something http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif



Thanks everyone for all the help, especially 4more, who answered all of my questions. I did get discouraged a few times but i stuck with it and it was well worth it. Now if i could just get some mufflers and bumpers.....

hey i drove it again today. Ive relized a big cam with no stall converter and 200mph gears = nothing bottom end. It goes about 45 in 1st gear @ 4500 rpms. I also realized i pinched the front brake line, so no front brakes. Everything else i love, although i dont think the neighbors feel the same. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif



btw my computers been broken down so i dont get on as much as id want to.
