<html><body>wee, i rhymed. I understand that to get maximum HP out of any engine, the components have to be matched up. Now, i don\'t know how to do the matching, but i ran across some engine combo\'s that are proven to work off of the superchevy site. I picked one of the milder combos, as it will be cheaper. They start off with a 355.. I found some Keith Black Cast Pistons .030 over for $60 for a set. cheapest i could find. Are These pistons any good?????<br>

The rest of the combo consists of an edelbrock or holley 600 cfm carb, edel. performer RPM intake, Comp cams Xtreme 262, and vortec heads.. with no machining done to them i don\'t think. Do you guys think this is a good combination? Supposed to produce 380HP. Let me know</body></html>

I would spend some extra money and get a hypereutecic piston it will be better in the long run. Vortex are the way to go if your on a budget. The RPM intake will be more expensive then a regular RPM because of the mounting holes in vortex heads. For cam i personally an not a big fan of Comp cams. I like the Elgin brand cams alot better, they come in about all the same grinds and only cost about $80 for cam and lifters. The money you save on a cam can go towards getting some better pistons.

actually, these are hypereutectic. Keith Black Pistons (http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=UEM%2D1436030%2D8) They also have the \"signature series\" pistons that are only $180.. Keith Black Sig Series (http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=UEM%2DKB106030%2D8) i\'m sure the signature series are better.... but they\'re 3x\'s as much. and $60 is uncanny cheap.
