Long bed or short bed?

Just curious to know your opinion on this... Is it better to start with a short or long wheelbase (either long bed or ext. cab) S10 to do a V8 conversion?



My guess would be that the longer wheelbase would make it handle better... What do you think?

not really i had a long -base mini it rode smoother but cornering STUNK.the reason the pro stock trucks are x-cabs is so they can move the engine back for better weight transferand have legg room etc.

If you don\'t want/need the extra room of an extended cab, i\'d say go SWB RC all the the way, compared to my 84 regular cab short bed, my club cab (LOWERED) doesn\'t handle as good and has a tuning radius similar to that of the USS Enterprise Nuclear aircraft carrier. You also have more weight which will slow you down, but for an everyday driver the extended cab room/ride is well worth some penalty.
