View Full Version : camel hump heads
I have a few questions on the old camel heads. My motor has a few mods like a mild cam and intake, headers ignition and such. Anyway I stuck these double hump heads on my truck that a friend had for like 150 bucks and my truck screamed. The heads are basically stock and I was wondering what I could do to them to give them a lot more power. Im talking within reason not to much money and still streetable with my application. Oh yeah they already have heavy duty springs on them. Thanks for any advise

these back in the day heads will always offer more power than the other factory heads the only drawback is you would need to add hard seats for the fuel we have today or they will get eaten up by our pump gas,if not done already.then you can do some portwork in the bowl area, raise the roof.you will spend up to 300 bucks for this if you have a cool machinist or take on some of the job yourself.other option sell those heads to a super stock racer and go buy a set of darts or a set of trickflows ,you will spend a buch to get those old heads to flow the numbers of these new heads...
