First off, hello to everyone.I have been a lurker here for some time.I am finally starting my project and have a few questions.

I have a \'82 GMC S15 longbed 2 wheel drive with the 2.8 engine and 4spd manual tranny.I ordered the headers, conversion mounts and the crate 350.I have also bought a th350 tranny.I have a choice of a 3\",6\" or 9\" tailshaft tranny.Which one should i pick? I would like to use the same driveshaft (not shortened or lengthened )if at all possible.I do not have a crossmember under my truck for an automatic tranny,is their any specific year that i need to look for at the salvage yard? Thanks again http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif

Where did you get one with a 3\" tail shaft? Im usually pretty good about trannies, and I\'ve never heard of that one. Just the 6,9, and 12\" shafts. I used the 9\", and didn\'t cut my driveshaft. I also have a blazer though.
