this is my first 2wd project i have ben working on fullsize chevys for a long time but i decided to build a small block powered s10 for my brother i have both the engine and transmission and a new set of motor mounts and i am stuck at the small details of a proper install any help from somebody who is willing to help a new guy to the s10 v8 world would be very helpful thanks much jm flegel

Depending on the year and what engine was in it there are a lot of little things that can drive you nuts. First is that the cooling system will have to go, of coarse electric fans new hoses and most likey a custom built rad. Depending on year and motor,accessories may need new mounts. As far as the trans. goes no real worries it could mount right up or you have to drill new holes in cross member. big deal, these trucks love TH350's also. On most of the conversion jobs the rear end stays but once you get it on the road you will most likely want to change the gears or tires, and more than likely you will use the old drive shaft.
