305 and 350

ok, this my be a dumb question, but a 305 out of a 89 caprice should have the same engine mount locations on the block as a 350 block, correct?. I\'m doin a lot of custom frame work and using the 305 as dummy engine for now just to get my engine mount locations in the right place. I don\'t wanna get all this done and the mount locations be different. Any help would be appreciated.

yeah im pretty sure all small blocks are the same for that kinda stuff but im not 100% i guess

Yes. In that era, the mounts are all the same. The external block dimensions and mounting points are all the same. You have to go back to the 50\'s before things are any different.
