I dont know if this is the right place to post this in, but anyone from minnesota know of any good junk yards to find an engine? Me and my pops have gone to several so far but havent had any luck. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif

I have done that, but everyone i see has either been rebuilt allready, or someone wants too much for what they have. I am looking for somethiing cheap right now.

If your looking for an older 350, they are getting fairly scarce. I lucked out and found mine in a 3/4 ton truck sitting in a corn field for the last 10 years. Newer 350 are fairly common in salvage yards, LT1\'s and TBI 350 should be pretty easy to find. Just call the salvage yards and see if they can locate one for you. If you want something older, like a 4 bolt block, just look around when you drive down the road. I have found alot of stuff this way. Look for old trucks or suburbans sitting in peoples yards. Don\'t be affraid to stop and ask about it. Some people don\'t know what they have and will give it away fairly cheap. Farmers are always good for this. Just take a sunday and go drive around the country side....you may be surprised by what you find!
