I\'ve dropped my tranny twice since I put the 350 in. I just had to loosen the headers to drop the tranny all the way down.

You probably didnt enlarge the tranny tunnel enough.

I have so far. I haven\'t tried pulling mine out with it in the truck. I don\'t think getting it out would be hard, just getting it back in. Might be coming out within a few weeks again too. Im getting pretty good at it too. CAn tear most the front clip off, and have the motor and tranny out within a few hours.

Why are all you guys taking the front clip off? I put my motor and tranny in together with the clip on and it was simple.

you probly didn\'t massage the seam on your firewall enough or at all i just pulled my motor on saturday,3.5 hrs.now the new engine is in. once you remove the x-member and exhaust you should be able to access the b-housing bolts all easy except the drivers side top but that\'s it... while your engine is out you should use a 5lb sledge of persuasion at the firewall seam. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

Its way easier to get to all the little bolts and such without the fenders off. At least without the radiator support off. Mine\'s kinda long too, my 6 speed is 3 or 4\" longer than a stock T56.

wow to those of you who put engine and tranny in with the front end on you guess must be really good when i swaped my two small block i left the tranny in and it was pretty tight but i guess if you angle the who load a crazy way it could be done but in like half and hour the whole clip can be off and then you can get to everything easy i would only take the clip of to convert it

I didn\'t even remove my wiper motor, yes it is a pretty insane angle, and also had the truck about 2 feet in the air which helped alot. but i had it in there and bolted to the mounts and crossmember i less than an hour. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif

I think im going to try to put everything in at once when i drop the new stroker in pretty soon. I know one thing...i will have to pull the radiator if i have the crank pully and water pump on cause they hit the radiator just a little comin out.
