No mods, just the adapters from the tranny and from Advance adapters and that is it, if you have the shifter with the TC.

why not just keep the R4? id rather have the over drive, gas gets expensive.

im not concerned with gas prices, this is my truck that i just driver where i need to golike work and stuff,if we go anywhere far we just take the wifes car...so the transfer case bolts to the crossmember not the tranny mount??

The overdrive is great for traveling, but I went with the 350 turbo for pure enjoyment, had the same set up as s10driver. It\'s a matter of what YOU want.

On mine the transfer case botled to the tranny mount that is bolted to the crossmember. On mine the tranny is not mounted on the frame at all, just the motor and the TC. If you have the NP207 or 231 TC yours should be the same.

I am not sure, you just need to get under the truck and look at the back of the TC. Take a rag with you first, then wipe down the small plate (red and white) on the TC and the number shoud be there. It will be NP something. I think that it will be 231, but as I said not sure.

Hey, i put a 350 with the 700r4 in it and also with a solid front axle dana 44\'s... That tranny is not a huge problem, just get a welder and some tubular steel... If you can fabricate it is simple...

But the 700r4 is a whole lot better you just need a electronic lockup computer 200$ or less from b/m. If i am wrong please letme know this the info i was told at the local store.. I need a electronic shift lockup for OD and 200 bucks..

Best luck..... yours is probably a 2x4 though.
