short shifter

i was wondering if the B&M short throw shifter will work on the t5 transmission that was in a s10 with a 2.8. it says it is for 82-93 s10 with t4 or t5 with 4cyl but i am pretty sure there the same transmissions. i need your guyes help!!!

i forgot to tell you that hurst makes a short throw shiter to for a 82-93 s10 with a 5 speed
