I was just wondering if you guys that run nitrous do your burnouts with the nitrous, or just on the motor. How about the launch? I usually do not use the juice during burnouts, but I launch with it. Do you guys have any pros and cons?

you are doing what most of us do or at least it is how me and my crew do it. the burnouts that i do are to get the water off of my tires. the radials dont need much heat to get stickt. some times i will smoke em for show. my buddies that are running 1500hp outlaw street cars run all out dot slicks. again they only do it on the motor. one of them runs dual carbed alcohol blown 540 and he only runs 1 of his fuel pumps smoking up the tires. then after he is staged he turns on the second and turns out a 7.5 et. but his nitrous is just a small amount to cool the incoming charge created by the blower.
the other car is a daytona with a 500+ cubic inch hemi nitrous motor. again big power. 900hp on just the motor and around 1400 on the bottle.
to cut it here i would have to say use the spray ONLY as needed. if you can burn em without it then no use it. other wise your putting just a little too much wear on the motor and your tires.
my opinion.

I wouldn\'t use it for burnouts. If you need to use the n20 for burnouts, then I think you have bigger problems.
As for the launch, if you can launch at a good rpm, and still hook up, then run it. I wouldn\'t run the nitrous if your leaving the line just off idle.
Most n20 companies recommend you waiting till you hit higher rpms for spraying.

I do not use it for the burnouts, but I was just wondering what others do. Most people around here do not spray, so I cannot find out from them. I have traction problems at launch with it, but then it hooks. I can do burnouts all day at 2000 rpm, but I thought, maybe the tires would get much hotter if I spun them with the juice. Thanks for the replies and I guess I just need that 4 link and slicks.
